About me
I currently live in London, but I was born in São Paulo (Brazil).
My path into Product Design was far from direct. First, I hold a degree in Social Communication / Journalism. For a few years I contributed to Riders Magazine alongside working as a reporter for regional newspapers.
I've worked in design since my early twenties, starting as a book designer at a publisher. From there I moved through graphic design, packaging, political campaigns, and eventually led a design team at an ecommerce company — picking up bits and pieces along the way, mostly by doing rather than studying it formally.
At some point, life forced me to a change of course. I moved to Bristol (UK), and worked in hospitality while I got my English up to speed. Then I decided to move to London, hoping for more opportunities to work in design again. Back then, my ambitions weren't grand — it was just getting back to a regular 9 to 5 job :)
I received an offer in my first week to join the design team at 5E Ltd. A few months later I moved to NSMG, working across presentation and web design. From there, I joined GlobalData, where I was part of launching Investment Monitor, VMS, Spears 500, the Covid-19 Vaccine Tracker, a New Statesman redesign, and a few others.
Around that time I started going deeper into design systems, which eventually brought me to FSB Tech in the betting and gambling industry. That chapter closed when the company was acquired by EveryMatrix.
I'm currently working at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Its mission around environmental preservation is something I genuinely align with, and I'm proud to be part of the institution.
