About me
I currently live in London, but I was born in São Paulo (Brazil).
My path into product design was far from direct. My degree is in Social Communication / Journalism, and I've written for Riders Magazine and worked as a regional reporter.
I've worked in design since my early twenties, starting as a book designer at a publishing house. From there I moved through graphic design, product packaging, print and digital assets for political campaigns, and eventually led a design team at an ecommerce company. I developed my design skills through hands-on experience across several sectors, each with different user needs and technical requirements.
In 2016, I moved to Bristol (UK) and worked in hospitality while I improved my English. Then I decided to move to London, hoping for more opportunities to work in design again.
I received an offer in my first week in London to join the design team at 5E Ltd. A few months later I moved to NSMG, working across presentation and web design. From there, I joined GlobalData, where I was part of launching Investment Monitor, VMS, Spears 500, the Covid-19 Vaccine Tracker, a New Statesman redesign, among other projects.
Around that time I started going deeper into design systems, which eventually brought me to FSB Tech in the betting and gambling industry. That chapter closed when the company was acquired by EveryMatrix.
I'm currently working at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Most people know Kew for its gardens, but it's also a world-class science, education and conservation charity. It works to end the extinction crisis and to safeguard nature for the future, using research on plants and fungi. The goal is to build a future where nature is valued by everyone, and I'm proud to be part of that effort.
